This paci clip is very rugged. The packaging shows it's also meant for camping, so it's like a heavy duty pacifier clip. This is an awesome product...we got it to use as a pacifier clip but its also useful for all sorts of stuff when you're out camping. it includes a large carabiner that latches onto thick straps, including the padded handle of our backpack carrier. So now, it's set and forget. You can also use the trail tether to hang stuff at your campsite ...we used it to hang a lantern in our tent. I was surprised to find that the carabiner was climbing rated. Not chintzy at all.
